APPENDIX A: KEY FIGURES

Alexander Starr (2291-2385)

Founder of the Starr family legacy on Memphis. Originally a trader of questionable ethics, Starr acquired the Memphis land claims from failed Baptist colonists and used a germanium strike to fund successful second colonization. Married Delilah Chen, a terraforming engineer. Four children, numerous descendants. Died on Memphis, age 94.

Melissa Starr (2498-2571)

CEO of Starr Traders during Star League boom and bust. Recognized opportunity in Star League collapse and positioned company to acquire abandoned assets. Credited with establishing the long-term strategy that would eventually produce TriStar Interstellar.

Belasarius Starr (2961-3010)

President of Memphis at time of death. Expanded TriStar's media operations. Married Marlene Davisson (later Marlene Starr). Assassinated by ROM operatives as part of Operation BURNING BRIDGE. Death officially attributed to "shuttle malfunction."

Marlene Starr, née Davisson (2964-3010)

CEO of TriStar Interstellar at time of death. Supervised expansion of shipping network into Concordat space. Killed alongside husband Belasarius. One son, Tennessee.

Tennessee Star (2993-3052)

Son of Belasarius and Marlene Starr. Changed surname spelling after parents' death. Founded Terran Revengers Company (3015), expanded to Tennessee Star Guards (3023). Commanded TSG and served on TriStar board of directors. Never married. Two children: Phillip Caesar Starr and Elizabeth Marlene Starr.

Known for his bright green hair — a flamboyant choice from his early career building a reputation on Solaris VII — Tennessee Star cultivated an image that combined showmanship with deadly competence. His children inherited both traits.

Killed in action at the Battle of Luthien, 5 January 3052, leading an Extraction Company to cover the withdrawal of the 7th Sherwood Cavaliers and Wolf's Dragoons Beta Regiment during the climactic fighting in the Kado-guchi Valley. His death ended the long-standing enmity between TriStar and Wolf's Dragoons, who had dismissed the TSG as a "minor league" operation for decades. The Dragoons' commander, Jaime Wolf, personally attended Tennessee Star's memorial service on Memphis — one of his few public appearances outside Outreach in the years following the battle.

Tennessee Star's participation in the defense of Luthien — a Draconis Combine world — inflamed Duke James Sandoval of Robinson, who publicly condemned "Davion subjects fighting to protect those damn Dracs." The political fallout contributed to ongoing tensions between the Periphery March and the Draconis March that persist to this day.

Phillip Caesar Starr (3018-present)

Son of Tennessee Star. MechWarrior and TriStar executive, heavily involved in colony planning and trade route development. Where his sister inherited their father's warrior spirit, Phillip inherited his strategic vision — understanding that the Periphery March's long-term survival depends on economic foundations, not just military strength.

Recognizable by his bright blue hair — a deliberate echo of his father's Solaris VII flamboyance. Phillip serves on the TriStar board and coordinates the corporation's expansion efforts, working to extend the shipping network deeper into both the Periphery and Concordat space.

Elizabeth Marlene Starr (3020-present)

Daughter of Tennessee Star. Commander of Memphis Battalion, a heavy assault battalion infamous for combat drops and aggressive tactics. Pilots a purple-and-black MAD-10T Marauder II that has become as recognizable as her father's green-haired image once was.

Known universally as "E.M." — her initials, but also a pointed reminder that she carries her grandmother Marlene's name. Where Phillip builds, Elizabeth fights. Memphis Battalion specializes in the kind of high-risk insertion operations that killed their father, and E.M. leads from the front with the same disregard for personal safety that characterized Tennessee Star's final action.

Her purple hair matches her 'Mech's paint scheme. TSG personnel joke that you can identify a Memphis Battalion drop zone by the purple contrails and the sound of Clan warriors swearing.

Patricia Moreau (2988-present)

Colonel, TSG. Original XO of Terran Revengers Company. Rose to command 1st Memphis Militia. Currently serves as TSG Chief of Staff. Credited with developing many TSG tactical doctrines.

Martha Culhane (2979-3054)

Coordinator of University of the Stars traveling school program. Vocal critic of Hanse Davion's education policies. Her quote regarding the Fourth Succession War's impact on education became iconic in Periphery March popular memory.

Raymond-Roger Marsin (3022-present)

Duke of the Periphery March, formally appointed by Princess-Regent Yvonne Steiner-Davion in 3079. Career AFFS officer before elevation to nobility. Maintains working relationship with TriStar leadership while preserving formal ties to New Avalon.
